Cookie policy

Short version: this site sets no cookies, tracks nobody across the web, and stores one thing in your browser so a chat bubble does not nag you twice.

We do not set cookies

Not essential ones, not analytics ones, not advertising ones. This site does not need to know who you are to show you a page, so it does not ask. There is no consent banner here because there is nothing to consent to — a banner that appears when a site sets no cookies is theatre, and we would rather not perform it.

One piece of technical storage

The chat assistant saves a single timestamp in your browser’s local storage, recording when it last offered to help. That is the whole purpose: without it, the bubble would pop up again on every page you open. It contains no identifier, no personal data and nothing that could be used to recognise you elsewhere, and it never leaves your device.

Clearing your browser’s site data for this domain removes it. The chat will simply greet you again.

Server logs

Requesting a page from any web server leaves a trace on it, and ours is no exception: our hosting provider records the IP address, the time, the page requested and your browser’s user-agent string, and keeps that for a short period. We use it to diagnose faults and to spot abuse. It is not a cookie and you cannot opt out of it without not visiting, which is true of every website you have ever used. The privacy policy covers what happens to it.

Things your browser fetches from elsewhere

Two of these exist, and it is only fair to name them, because a request to another company’s server reveals your IP address and browser details to that company whether or not a cookie is involved.

• The homepage background video and its still image are served by Pexels. Loading the homepage means your browser talks to them directly.
• The chat assistant sends what you type to OpenRouter, which routes it to an AI provider to write the reply. This happens only if you open the chat and type something.

Everything else is served from this site: the fonts are bundled at build time rather than fetched from Google, the other video files are ours, and there are no embedded players, social widgets, comment systems, maps or share buttons anywhere on the site.

We do count page views

We want to know whether anybody reads this site, so it runs Vercel’s page counter — the same company that already hosts it, and no new one to trust. It records which page was opened, where the visit came from, and a rough country, device and browser. It sets no cookie, writes nothing into your browser’s storage, and reads nothing that is already there.

That is the whole reason no consent banner appeared with it: consent is owed for storing or reading things on your device, and this stores and reads nothing. It cannot follow you to another site, it is not joined to your enquiry, and it produces a number of visits rather than a picture of a visitor.

No advertising, no tracking

There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no LinkedIn Insight tag, no heatmap recorder and no session replay on this site. Nobody is building an advertising profile from your visit here, and we do not sell or share visit data.

If that changes again

If we add an advertising pixel, or anything that stores or reads non-essential data on your device, two things happen before it goes live: this page is rewritten to describe it exactly, and a proper consent banner appears — one that asks first and works if you say no. The page counter above was added on 24 August 2026 and this page was rewritten in the same change, before it was switched on. We will not switch on tracking and backdate a policy to cover it.

Controlling storage yourself

Every browser lets you block and clear cookies and site storage, usually under privacy or site settings, and you can use private browsing to have it all discarded when you close the window. Blocking storage for this site costs you nothing except a chat bubble that forgets it already said hello.
